In partnership with The Ripper House
There’s a new frontier for fashion, and it’s unfolding on the fairways. Forget the lingering stereotypes of pleated khakis and polos – LIV Golf Adelaide 2025, which took place last weekend, just proved that golf is the next sporting event to watch, not just for the competition, but for the style. With The Ripper House – an exclusive off-course experience – blurring the lines between sport, entertainment, and fashion, South Australia’s biggest tournament is making a case for golf as the new sport to watch when it comes to high-profile dressing.
After a day on the greens (and soaking up the sounds of Dom Dolla and FISHER on site), guests headed to The Ripper House to kick back, relax, and practice their swing. Sophie Coote and Nikki Campbell of SIR. brought their signature minimalist elegance, while Violet Grace and Carmen Hamilton embodied effortless cool in refined, relaxed silhouettes. Actors Travis Fimmel and Josh Heuston also leaned into polished off-duty style, proving that golf attire is no longer just about function – it’s about finesse.
But this wasn’t just about looking the part. The Ripper House – named after reigning LIV champions Ripper GC – transformed the traditional golf experience into something undeniably modern. The weekend was a sensory feast: DJ sets from Carla Martinez and Client Liaison’s Harvey Miller kept the energy high, while mixologist Lachlan Gunner’s cocktail creations, including a tournament-inspired mix that shared the event’s namesake, proved that golf events can rival the world’s best hospitality offerings. Chef David Moyle crafted a menu of Australiana-inspired dishes, from Kangaroo schnitzel to Wattleseed ice cream, reinforcing the tournament’s connection to place and culture.
The style? Elevated yet easy, embodying the nonchalant polish that makes Australian fashion so covetable. There was a distinct shift towards contemporary interpretations of classic golf wear – think tailored trousers paired with sculptural tops, monochrome sets, and effortless suiting. Accessories played a crucial role: oversized sunglasses, slim-line sneakers, and vintage-inspired caps felt intentional, a nod to the sport’s aesthetic without veering into cliché.
Having attracted 94,000 golf fans in 2024 and more than 102,000 this year, LIV Golf Adelaide has become one of the country – and the sport’s – premiere calendar events. But with The Ripper House’s debut this year, it’s clear that golf is entering a new era, where sport, style, and spectacle exist in perfect harmony. As Ripper GC’s Nick Adams put it: “[It’s] where sport, culture, and entertainment collide – it’s the hottest ticket in Australia, and we’re only getting started.”
