It’s June, and suddenly the walk to Pilates feels like a trek through the Arctic. Our wardrobes (and skin) are asking for backup. This month, the RUSSH editors are reaching for warmth in all forms – knitwear, lip balm, maybe even a pair of sensible shoes. Here’s what we’re eyeing (and buying) this month.

I was discussing new activewear with friends this morning to make early winter Pilates classes more bearable (plus, I’m in desperate need). The consensus was Adanola and Nagnata. I personally love Nagnata for its use of natural fibres — the pieces are practical for exercise, while still looking good afterwards over coffee, as well. The demi wool leggings and alpaca sweater are on my wishlist right now. I love this Adanola knitted sweater, too. I might have to pull the trigger…
Another piece I need is a new black coat. I have countless trenches and blazers, but am otherwise lacking. I love this fringed one by Toteme. It’s perfect. This one from Cos also looks like a perfect silhouette (I like to size up for more of a masculine fit). While browsing for coats, I also found Róhe (turns out, I’ve saved a few of the campaign images on Instagram). These silk shorts are heaven — the entire set, actually…
On the beauty front, I just finished my Kiehl’s body cream and would love to replenish it (I always buy the refills). I also need more Tatcha Dewy Skin spray. It’s my number one product for fresh winter skin without the need for heavy moisturisers and highlighters.

It seems my wardrobe is holding on to summer with a firm grip – so I’m in dire need of a few cold weather essentials. My shopping list has cardigan, sweater and bomber jacket in the top three spots. Specifically, VIKTORIA & WOODS’ Pink Ontario Cardigan, CAMILLA AND MARC’s Meier Brushed Knit Sweater and CSB’s Cropped Oversized Bomber Jacket in Espresso respectively.
I’ve started using Clarins’ Extra-Firming Day Cream SPF15 for the first time and I have to say I really like it so far. The texture is amazing on my skin (and the bottle is refillable).
Lastly, I have a few wishlist items worth mentioning. I’ve been eyeing off these Reebok CLUB C 85 VINTAGE sneakers. I see them being a staple with wide leg jeans and a brown leather jacket this season.
I saw the Mulberry Alexa Bright Oak Heavy Grain on Instagram and fell in love at first sight. I’ll be dreaming of it until further notice.
While I am as aquarius as they come (hi sun and moon), Mia’s Gemini gift guide has this Instax Fujifilm Mini EVO Instant Camera included – and now I love my fellow air sign even more because this camera will be mine.

We’re only three days into June and already my to-buy list is long. I’m on the hunt for a pair of EVERAU slippers to wear around the house (my poor cold feet can’t do another winter in just socks). And I recently stumbled across a vintage pop-up from EVOIIA where I picked up some of the best vintage finds of my life (a Dior sweater and Chloe set were just the tip of the iceberg). I’m obsessed with the TANCHEN Pet-Nat Pets to ferry around on my bag (I’ve actually lost count of how many times I’ve needed a cute bottle opener on the go), and in the beauty department my two must-have new pieces are the Kerastase Glazing Drops (the only hair product that does what it says and doesn’t make my hair look greasy in the process) and the Westman Atelier Lip Liner in Biscuit (truly the most perfect, creamy your-lip-but-better shade.

My favourite purchase of this month has to be this Casetify mirrored phone case. I can’t not explain how convenient it is to not have to dig from a compact mirror just to check your lipstick or hair. Highly recommend, convenience buy of the year. I’ve been watching the French Open most nights and am very much in a tennis fashion mood, so when I saw this adorable Blunt umbrella, I knew I had to have it. I was influenced by Content Director Elyssa Kostopoulos over fashion week to buy these chic Tony Bianco heels, and lucky for me they’re on sale. I also have some travel essentials on my shopping list too. I am super funny about my shoes touching things in my suitcase, so I usually put them in bags. But this reusable and washable shoe packing cube from Lapoche is perfect. I’ve been very keen to try Jones Road, and this universal moisturising stick is a perfect airplane companion for dry elbows, hands and lips. Finally, I have this gorgeous Roame cardigan on my list too. It’s the most beautiful shade of green.

I’m really trying to establish a winter routine. I feel like summer is a much more palatable time to eat well and exercise whilst now, I just want to hibernate and eat cheese toasties. However, against my natural inclination, I am exercising which means some new runners and I’m really converting the Onitsuka Tiger Tigrail RS in Oyster, surely they will make me go faster? The health kick has also justified some of the new Sony WH-1000XM6 Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones which really do drown out the rest of the world and allow my choice of musical world, rather than the gym’s dubious selection. My new routine is including a more nourishing night time skin care routine so I will be stocking up on the Emma Lewisham Supernatural Sleep Mask and Supernatural Vitale Face Elixir refill for day times. Stepping away from the routine to a more beautiful fantasy, I have not stopped thinking about the Beare Park Nina Dress since fashion week and will be adding it to cart the second it’s available.

Winter is here and I am freezing. I think I might have culled my wardrobe a little too skillfully when the weather started to warm up last year, so I’m in desperate need of some layers. At the top of my list is this cashmere sweater by Assembly Label – I’m a big fan of the V neck silhouette this season. I also tried on this striped polo by Oroton, and haven’t been able to stop thinking about it since. Continuing on the layers train, I have been lusting after a slightly more tailored blazer silhouette for quite some time know, but am yet to find one I’m obsessed with. This one by Alfie Paris is my current favourite. I would also love to be wrapped up in this coat by Friends With Frank. Absolutely not weather appropriate, but still so cute, this mini skirt from Maison Essentiele’s latest drop has also caught my eye. I’m heading to the Hunter Valley this weekend, and I think it would look so cute with a simple sweater. And last but not least, I am officially on board with the boat shoe trend. Alias Mae has nailed the brief with this brown suede style.

I’m going to Thredbo this weekend for a couple days to reconnect with nature and touch some grass. So lots of sweaters will be needed, and for the rest of the winter ahead. I’ve been looking at COS’s sweaters, they’re great quality and reasonably priced. I also stumbled upon this Buci poncho top, which I am in love with, and I think paired with this P.Johnson Femme bralette (which I have wanted for quite some time) and Guizio midi skirt would make the cutest set. And also from P.Johnson Femme I would love this denim shirt, I’ve been quite into a double denim look. And it wouldn’t be on my shopping list if Loewe wasn’t on it – this Hollywood T-shirt is so fun, and since I regret not getting the Challengers I told Ya t-shirt, I don’t want to regret it again!
