DAISY EDGAR-JONES HAS really discovered her inner fashionista right before our very eyes. Starting with the Twisters press tour this past summer, we’ve seen an especially adventurous side come out of the actor with regards to her style. Now, she’s embarking on yet another tour de fashion in Milan, where she just sat front row at Gucci’s Fall/Winter 2025 ready-to-wear show in a super long sweater and a pair of tall boots—and not much else.
“Working with my stylist Dani Michelle has been such an incredible experience,” she told Harper’s Bazaar. “She has really helped me come out of my shell and I feel more confident now when I go to events like this.”

For the Gucci presentation, Edgar-Jones arrived in a jet-black cardigan, buttoned up and laid flat across her torso like a minidress. Underneath, the Normal People star wore a matching set of wool shorts that peeked out ever-so-slightly from the bottom hem of the sweater. The look was completed with a pair of tall black leather boots, and an inky shoulder bag to match.

“I think Gucci for me always feels so fresh, every show feels classic but always with a little surprise,” she tells Bazaar. For her fit, there was certainly a sense of timelessness to it. Upon closer inspection, you could see that her cardigan was decorated with shiny black sequins that dotted the knitwear in an irregular pattern. It gave the look a bit of a disco touch, while also feeling very modern, and the team tried to lean into that vintage aesthetic. “My make up and hair was very ’60s inspired,” she notes.

Edgar-Jones has definitely become a favourite of the house, having been to all three of the Gucci shows in 2024, while also wearing the brand for numerous red carpets throughout the past few months.

When asked what her favourite moment was being dressed by Gucci, she says, “I think it has to be the flowy blue dress I wore to [the Toronto International Film Festival] last year for the premiere of my film On Swift Horses.” (It certainly was a favourite of ours too. At the time, we called it “ethereal.”)

Of course, when you’ve got new projects to promote, you’ve got more excuses to dress up, and Edgar-Jones has been keeping busy, what with the release of Twisters and On Swift Horses — which will have its U.S. premiere on April 25 (no word yet on an Australian release date) — as well as her recent run as Maggie on the West End production of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.

With regards to the latter, Edgar-Jones reflected on the project, saying, “It was an incredible experience, really challenging in all the best ways and I loved how different the shows were each night with [a] new audience. Kind of like the magic of a fashion show — it is a moment in time.”
Now, the British actor might finally get to enjoy some downtime, and she already knows where she’ll be heading once the Gucci show is over and her schedule frees up in Milan: “For chocolate mousse at a restaurant called Trattoria Torre di Pisa.”
