I’ve been hunting high and low for the perfect pair of flared jeans. For years I’ve been 100% into high-waisted skinny styles but for winter I’m really keen to pair crops, chunky knits and more with some 70s style flares. Luckily, City Chic has come to the rescue with Leah Flares.

The Leah jeans are a retro style high-waisted flare with modern stretch. Figure flattering, super comfy and so easy to style. Now for size, I was looking at the online reviews and noticed that people had fit issues with these as they seem to fit 2 sizes smaller. This is really correct, unfortunately. While I usually wear a 16 or 18 in City Chic pieces, I got a 20 in these. While usually a tag is just a tag it’s more trusting as these were ordered online. We don’t get fit and feel online and go by the size chart and the reviews.

They are really long as well but when I wear any of my heels or platforms (they pair perfectly with all of my Demonia Camel boots) they are PERFECT! So if you can get into a store to try these on that would be biggest recommendation or just go 2 full sizes up from your normal CC base size.

Styling I wise I went for the Cassie Top Black as I’m rather addicted to City Chics floral crop tops. This is a 16/S and fits like a dram. With a pull-string bust, which changes the straight neckline to a more sweetheart style and the cutes of sleeves.

This piece can be worn off the shoulder or up as shown and can be worn high or low on the waist. I’ve also worn a bodysuit beneath to give a little more coverage on a cold winter day here in Melbourne. I really adore the colours in this little floral print and would love a dress to match.

Clearly, this look or a mix-up of this jacket/jean comb will be my go-to for all casual events this winter but I also can’t wait to wear these with more crop tops and tees over the warmer months.

The next look I wanted to create was a full winter daily wear outfit. So of course I needed a winter must-have – the turtleneck knit! Now the Mia Jumper featured in these shots has sold out but you can find so many more amazing pieces right here!

I find nothing more chich than a classic black turtleneck sweater and this piece is super soft, stretchy and fits like a dream. I’m wearing the 16/S and the fit is really good with just the right amount of wiggle room.

To break up the outfit I paired the combo with a faux leather and chain belt to add a little extra ‘me’ to the completed look and I really adore how it turned out.

While you can’t snap up this exact turtleneck the amount of stunning knits and colours at City City right now will have you swooning. I’ve currently got my eye on some really unique sleeved pieces and the Mia in the Toffee colourway.
