Burberry FW25 embraced the full spectrum of the House's identity

The Burberry FW25 collection exemplified Daniel Lee‘s embrace of the full spectrum of the House’s identity – adeptly balancing contemporary innovation with reverence for its storied traditions. This delicate equilibrium seamlessly weaved modern silhouettes with classic motifs that have long defined the brand’s heritage. Drawing on a deep appreciation for British craftsmanship, Lee reimagined traditional elements through a forward-thinking lens, creating designs that spoke both to nostalgia and the promise of tomorrow. His visionary approach not only celebrated the legacy of the House but also set the stage for a bold, modern narrative that continues to resonate with a global audience.

The location …

The House’s Fall Winter 25 presentation closed out London Fashion Week at the Tate Modern. The stage was transformed with lavish drapes that evoked the quintessential British countryside, while towering columns and imposing curtains conjured images of stately escapes, reminiscent of the enchanting settings found in the cinematic classics. This evocative environment underscored the collection’s celebration of both heritage and modernity, inviting onlookers to experience a blend of tradition and avant-garde style.

The guests …

As was to be expected from the heritage House, Burberry’s FW25 frow was buzzing with an eclectic mix of creatives and surprise guests. Samantha Jones herself, Kim Cattrall, was in attendance, alongside British grime MC Skepta, Nosferatu actor Nicholas Hoult, and musician Lauryn Hill. But the guests appearances weren’t limited to the seating: Game of Thrones and Saltburn star Richard E. Grant was a surprise on the runway (fresh from his appearance in the House’s latest campaign), as was Harry Potter and newly-minted The White Lotus star Jason Isaacs.

Friends of the House Naomi Campbell and Lila Moss also walked.

The clothes …

Outerwear was the collection’s standout category, featured in an array of designs from vibrant fuchsia velour bombers to more traditional and understated check trenches.

Throughout the collection, subtle nods to the iconic Burberry check appeared in unexpected places – from the waistline of a brown knit co-ord set to a silk scarf tucked into a herringbone overcoat paired with a matching checked umbrella. But there were distinctly new elements to the collection as well. Detailed leather embroidery, paisley velour coats shredded from the waist down. Leather goods came in the form of thigh-high riding boots (a less subtle nod to the House’s equestrian roots), and plum-toned iterations of their classic Small B Clip Messenger Bag and leather riding gloves.

Beauty was kept pared-back and fresh, and jewellery mostly contained to charm-adorned necklaces and floral studs.
