Australian Fashion Week 2025 schedule has dropped

The schedule for Australian Fashion Week 2025 has officially dropped.

Sydney’s Carriageworks is preparing to hum with the frequency of creative pulse once more – Australian Fashion Week 2025 has landed. And with it, a schedule steeped in legacy, innovation and the tactile intimacy of clothes made with intention.

After a changing of the guards last year that saw the Australian Fashion Council and Destination NSW join forces to support the event for 2025, this year’s schedule feels like a love letter to the masters of romantic resilience. This morning it was confirmed that Shark Beauty will be the official presenting partner for the event in 2025, and that Afterpay would also return, but not in its previous role as title partner.

This year, the schedule has a deep connection to the Australian uniform: Bassike’s coastal minimalism, Nagnata’s movement-minded knitwear, and the architectural sensuality of Beare Park. Romance Was Born returns, likely armed with surrealist joy and a couture dreamscape. Then there’s the wild heart of the calendar – Alix Higgins and Iordanes Spyridon Gogos – whose collections promise maximalist poetry in motion.

Heritage also gets its moment. Carla Zampatti, Bianca Spender, and Farage remind us that tailored strength and feminine resolve are core to our fashion DNA. Meanwhile, designers like Ngali, Liandra, Nicol + Ford ask us to slow down and listen to story, fabric, and Country.

Group shows offer a glimpse into the future. The Frontier presentation unites the considered elegance of ESSE and MATIN with directional voices like Common Hours and Courtney Zheng. And New Gen, as always, is where we look for the next movement – Miimi + Jiinda, Haluminous, and Permanent Vacation giving us reason to believe that fashion’s future is rooted in culture, care, and rebellion.

AFW 2025 will take place across five days from 12–16 May in 2025, with activations and runways taking place not just at Carriageworks, but across the entire city. You can find the full schedule and list of showing designers for 2025, below.
