From Sydney store openings to Manhattan dinner parties, this week in fashion delivered its share of unforgettable moments – if you knew where to look. Of course, we’ve been pretty wrapped up in Australian Fashion Week here in Sydney, but there’s plenty more to discuss.

Korean athleisure cult favourite andar made its Australian debut, bringing sleek silhouettes and performance wear to Westfield Sydney. Over in New York, VRG GRL hosted a sequin-drenched celebration for their latest collection, toasting female creativity under spring skies.

Meanwhile, CELINE unveiled its sculptural new boutique in Bondi Junction, and UNIQLO x JW Anderson reminded us that fisherman chic is here to stay. Even the world of fine watches had a moment, as Vacheron Constantin introduced its first-ever minute repeater in the Overseas collection. In case you missed them, these are the fashion moments worth catching up on.

Earlier this month, VRG GRL held an intimate dinner party in NYC to celebrate the launch of their May Collection, hosting an inspiring group of women for an evening of connection, celebration, and style. Held in a loft space in Chelsea that was transformed in signature VRG GRL style – a Raw Ice Bar, Cocktail Jellies in Dirty Martini, Mezcal Negroni and Margarita, with Sushi and Sashimi that was enjoyed as the sun went down during a spring, New York evening. Guests were dressed in iconic VRG GRL silhouettes and sequins from their latest collection, the evening serving not only as a celebration of a new season, but also of the creative, confident women who continue to inspire them.

Miu Miu presented the second iteration of Tales & Tellers in New York this week – a site-specific performance and installation at the crossroads of fashion, art and cinema, conceived by artist Goshka Macuga and convened by MACBA director Elvira Dyangani Ose. Featuring reimagined characters from the Miu Miu Women’s Tales film series and runway collaborations, the project transforms Terminal Warehouse into a surreal, nocturnal stage for exploring the shifting language of femininity.
